Finalize a permanent location for The Saga Museum and conduct an Economic Impact Study to determine the museum’s total impacts, including economic activity, jobs supported, wages earned, and taxes generated.
Engage museum planning and experience design firms to prepare project concepts including facility size and components, estimated cost, and the visitor experience.

The Saga Museum (8)

We have discussed our plans with Lucasfilm and we regularly share updates with them. They are enthusiastic about our vision to open a Star Wars memorabilia museum created by fans. The Saga Museum® of Star Wars Memorabilia is independent of Disney and Lucasfilm.

George Lucas is aware of our general plans for The Saga Museum® of Star Wars Memorabilia. We haven’t had any conversations with him about further involvement.

The Saga Museum® of Star Wars Memorabilia will be dedicated exclusively to displaying Star Wars items and telling the stories of their unique impact on our culture. Based on publicly available information, The Lucas Museum of Narrative Art plans to cover the full range of narrative arts, which may include Star Wars.

Absolutely not. While The Saga Museum® of Star Wars Memorabilia is focused on the Star Wars franchise, there will be many stories that will interest everyone. Star Wars has a huge effect on everything from how movies are made, to how they are merchandised, to the fan communities that have sprung up to celebrate them.

The Saga Museum® of Star Wars Memorabilia is an initiative of Rancho Obi-Wan, Inc. All donations to support building The Saga Museum are recorded as donations to Rancho Obi-Wan, Inc.

Rancho Obi-Wan in Petaluma, CA is the only collection that has tours. You may purchase tickets to view the collection at RanchoObiWan.org
