The process of gathering data for Star Wars: The Ultimate Action Figure Collection was both tedious and long. Writing the book had it’s own challenges with unique fixes.
In the beginning there were action figures on cards, pristine in their packages. By the end there were multiple garbage bins of plastic and cardboard, twist ties and teeny rubber bands. The figures, now stored in Ziploc snack baggies, were carefully labeled by name and two different IDs. Photography, cataloging, database coding, caption writing, sorting and exporting was a huge task stack required to get more 2,500 figures into the book.
